WestJet to Deploy Innovative Cabin Amenity
HAMBURG, GERMANY – April 2, 2017 – Skycast Solutions, a leader in portable inflight entertainment and airline tablet holder solutions, today announced at the Aircraft Interiors EXPO that WestJet will be trialing Skycast’s low cost tablet holder solution for inflight use. The “TabCaddy Clip™” is custom designed to attach securely to the airline meal tray and provides passengers a convenient way to store and view their personal electronic device (PED). The removable ‘Clip’ is designed to accommodate all sizes of smart phones and tablets.
The offering will provide WestJet with a low cost option to accommodate the flood of PEDs being brought onboard by their guests. WestJet will deploy the Clip on five of their 737 aircraft by this summer and evaluate a fleet-wide deployment based on guest feedback.
“We are thrilled to trial the TabCaddy Clip with WestJet,” said Bill Boyer, CEO of Skycast Solutions. “This is a low cost way for an airline to improve the inflight entertainment experience. We are looking forward to getting our innovative product flying with WestJet.”
The Clip provides two surfaces for airline branding or advertising sales but is highly customizable for each airline based on their tray and branding requirements.
